Bought this to keep as a second cable for my travel bag so I don’t have to keep unplugging the original, and it’s been fantastic. The braided exterior has a great, premium woven feel to it—not stiff or cheap-feeling at all. The USB-C end fits snugly into both the OEM Apple power brick and third-party multi-port chargers without any wiggle. On the laptop side, the magnetic connection is strong and snaps into place with a very satisfying, click. The charging light works exactly like the factory cord. Considering what Apple charges for a replacement MagSafe cable, this is a no-brainer bargain. Perfect to keep as a backup or travel cord. Highly recommend.
I bought this LISEN USB-C to Magnetic 3 cable as a backup charger and it has exceeded my expectations. The magnetic link feels just as secure as the original Mac cable, and the charge indicator light works seamlessly, just like Apple’s. Performance-wise, it charges my laptop fast and stays impressively cool—unlike other aftermarket cords that tend to overheat. The braided design keeps it completely tangle-free when stowed in my bag. If you want true OEM reliability without the high price tag, this is a clear winner.
Only 2 days, so I can't speak to long term. So far, I am very happy. It works perfectly, charges great, actually fits the charging port better than my apple charger did. I wasn't sure it would be good because I have purchased several apple watch charges on Amazon and they were not good, weak and so slow. This charger more than met my expectations. I highly recommend buying it, great value for the money!
Lasted 1 year and 1 month. This is not an ideal product for a long term solution. The price is low, I guess. Although that’s up to you and how you’re faring in this economy. But, I do not recommend this product. Perhaps, money should be spent elsewhere? Or perhaps looking into your local library to see if they have chargers you can check out for long sessions. Note, the cord looks good and there is no fraying. So, not sure what’s going on with it. Poor thing. Was good until it wasn’t. But, that wasn’t came too quickly. Anyway, good luck to you if you buy this product.
UPDATE: I am updating my review as the seller reached out to me and provided a full refund. Thank you. I purchased the LISEN USB-C to Magnetic 3 Cable in February, and it worked fine for about 10 months. Unfortunately, it has now become unreliable and potentially unsafe. After about one hour of use, the magnetic connector gets noticeably hot. At the same time, my computer starts beeping because the power supply becomes intermittent, even though the cable is fully seated and the laptop is not being moved. One night, the laptop was left stationary and connected overnight, yet the battery drained to 8% by morning. I had to switch to a different USB-C cable to charge it back up, which worked immediately with no issues. At this point, the cable is no longer usable. Given the heat at the connector, intermittent charging, and failure within the same year of purchase, I consider this product faulty. I expected a magnetic charging cable to be reliable and safe for daily use, especially at this price point. Unfortunately, that was not the case here.
Update 2: The company reached out and replaced the cable which has been working flawlessly ever since. Back up to five stars! Update: I purchased this in May, and in December it simply does not work. Everything else that is plugged into the laptop works just fine. If I do a direct charge through the USB-C port, it's fine. But for some reason, this won't charge anymore. Because it worked OK for seven months, I'm going to downgrade it to a three star, although at this point I'm ready to downgrade it to just one star, Tbh. My only complaint with this charger is that the base is so large I can't fit anything in the USBC slot next to it! I have an M2 MacBook Air (the only laptop I've ever loved), and I purchased right-angle charger that's perfect, except that for an assignment I was working on, all of the cables had to be plugged into an outlet on the left side. That mean I had to essentially wrap the cable around my MacBook in order to keep the computer charged. I purchased this one because of the ratings. If it's the only thing plugged in, it's perfect. I had to do a little macgyvering (OGs will know) to ensure my drives were connected without bumping the side of the charger, but I got it to work. In fact, I'm typing on the computer now with this item charging it! If you don't have a weird situation like mine, this cable will be perfect for most users. And yes, I recommend it!
Terrific quality and attractive. Works with my iPhone in its thick acrylic case and not all do.
